Hoi An day 3- Another slow day

Sadly Aanya woke up with some post viral myositis with pain to back of her legs and difficulty walking. She was still keen on going to the beach and explore. Our hotel is in between the old town and the beach and it was a short bicycle ride to the Cua Dau beach.

I am really proud of Savik for riding a bicycle out of his comfort zone. We had to ride on the crazy Vietnamese roads, on the opposite side as well as a bike that is somewhat big for him. I don’t know whether I would have been game enough to ride at his age.

It was a nice sunny day, we found a nice quiet beach, usual play on the sand, rolling in puddles of water followed by picking seashells that one lady said was “sand dollars”.

After another sessions of IPad and TV we ventured towards the old town at night. Savik was wearing his Messi t shirt and all the Vietnamese kids on the street and kids who were riding motor bikes( yes motor bikes) were shouting out Messi, Messi in excitement. Savik said he did not like it, but I know, he secretly loved it.

Now it was my turn to come down with a cold. Got fleeced by a pharmacist when buying some Ibuprofen. Hopefully fluids, meds and a good night sleep will cure this.

1st day of online school starts tomorrow but I don’t think we will be waking up early to join.
