After a restful day our legs are charged for the next few days of hiking.
Started our hike at Paklenica NP, the barefaced rocks are very different to what we have encountered so far. It’s a climbers haven and we saw heaps of them along the way. Some were little kids while others were specks on the mountains being spotted because of bright t-shirts. We saw a person half way Anica Kuk, 400m high rock and one of the best climbs in Croatia.
We made our way from the canyon to the forest cottage, Lugarnica. As we were telling each the stories of the books we had read recently the time sped by and the hike felt quite short.
As we still were feeling ok we headed to the viewpoint near the entrance with some groans from the children. It was a quick climb to the top, saw the sea and the mountains.
Our drive to Plitvice was very picturesque, changing from jagged rocks to green mountains.
The room we are staying in for the next two days has a huge deck with a view of the rolling hills. Maybe the size of the deck or the view but something makes me feel like Australia.
The hot tub with a glass of Rose was a perfect way to soak away the tiredness of the day.
