Had a lazy start to the day, where morning was spent catching up on organising bookings for our onward journeys. Kids caught up on school work and reading their books.
We ventured out in the morning towards Amir Timur square. Amir Timur was the founder of the Timrud empire in Central Asia that later formed the Mughal empire in India. The square is surrounded by beautiful grand buildings. One of the buildings is the law college of Tashkent with loads of students out for lunch and playing table tennis around the park.
After a stroll along the park we Yandex’ed to Chorsu Bazaar, it is situated in the centre of the old town with multitude of stalls ranging from fruits, dried fruit, spices, meat, clothes and souvenir stalls. The fruits and vegetables were in abundance and we saw the largest cauliflower we have ever seen.
After buying fruits we came back to our apartment as we were still feeling a bit tired. The early morning starts, and touring along Kazarkstan and Kyrgyzstan has taken a toll on us.
Hope to start early morning tomorrow and explore the rest of Tashkent.
