Bishkek

Great weather to start our day , we headed to Ala Archa National Park . It was gorgeous along the way as poppy fields were in bloom and the snow capped mountains were in the background.

We did a hike there along with a lot of Kyrgyzs given the weekend and the beautiful weather . Easiest way to keep the kids happy on a hike is to play games . 8km done with no issues .

Then lunch at the same chain of restaurants as dinner last night which made the kids very happy as they loved the food.

We went to the Ala TooSquare and did a walk around . Learnt a bit more about the Soviet history . Appreciated the street art along the way and then to Osh Bazar .

It was much bigger than Green Bazar in Almaty and filled by locals buying things . The oddest thing we saw was chalk rock on sale that people were eating as they walked along . We needed cherries after a taste as mouths did not appreciate it !!

It is the last day of our tour and we all are pretty tired , we said goodbye to Dimitri and just stayed in for the evening. We were advised by him not to go to dark streets as there has been some unrest among the Kyrgyz people and South Asian students in the last few days but we had no plans to go anywhere at all due to exhaustion!!

At night I was combing Aanya’s hair and listening/ singling  to Que Sera Sera just as my mum used to do . Life comes full circle.
