London- Harry Potter Studios

We had a relaxed morning and so glad we did as it got to be a very very busy day.

We arrived at Warner Studios at 2pm for our tour. It was absolutely fabulous, I am not sure what I had expected and had thought it was mainly for Savik. It was his 10th birthday present but we all really enjoyed it.

The ten years of hard work that went in to making the movies had really been brought to life in the tour.

The sets are grand, walking in to the Great Hall with the floating candles had us in awe and it continued that way. We got to walk through the forbidden forest, get the creeps by the spiders, pretend to take a broomstick ride and push through the wall of the platform to ride the Hogwarts express.

After lunch which included Butterbeer we continued through the Duggley’s house and saw the room under the staircase. We ended with the model of the Hogwarts and dementors surrounding us.

The kids then spent heaps of time at the shops trying to decide how to spend their money, deciding on Hedwigs for both of them.

Our return turn got canceled so we ended up on a slower train, returning nearly at midnight. Very happy but exhausted kids.
