Today was the greet and meet for our Intrepid tour but it was in the evening so had the day to ourselves.
We had plans to visit a close by forest area for a bike ride and exploration but it was not meant to be. Tuesday and Thursday had been declared protest days so the town was shut. We were told to stay in the hotel grounds for our safety.
After the exhausting hike from yesterday the kids all were happy to lounge around and play in the pool.
We watched the protests on the news, it was within a few kilometres from us. Felt a bit surreal being in the peace green lush garden restaurant while the news showed police and protestors clashing.
Evening meeting had only 2 more people join our group- a mother and her 10year old boy. Boys very happy to have another playmate while Aanya was sad there were no girls on the trip.
The tour is at half capacity, looking forward to having heaps of space.
