Was not expecting much from the town based on what I had heard from the locals so was pleasantly surprised. We started with the local markets ,the kids got excited about taking lots of fruit photos for our kitchen so my camera roll is a fruit gallery . Had to drag them through the fish market , it was not at all smelly but the live crabs were sending shivers down their spines .
Then we found the art trails and creative street , such a good way to showcase local artists and keep the tourists entertained. Savik was very good in being part of the 3D art. There was a wall in remembrance of the Australian soldiers in th e Second World War - lest we forget .Made me feel there is so much that could be done in Darbhanga ( my hometown ).
Goal for the week to try and wean Aanya’s addiction to bubble tea !
Off to Kota Kinabalu in the evening.
