We started the morning off at Mari Mari Cultural village . Mari means Let’s go , a bit like Chalo Chalo in Hindi . We got to see the houses and taste the wines / coffee / tea and eat the different foods of the tribes . We saw the traditional ways fire was built ,was a prerequisite for youngsters to be able to do it before they could get married. The most fun was the trampoline made by tree parts .
One of the tribes were the headhunters and we had a very good looking tribesman show us around , as per the lady next to me - he was verrry handsome . We got to take some pictures pretending we were getting remarried in one of the huts . We all got Henna tattoos as a souvenir, the kids loved the ones they got .
The last bit was a music and dance show . The man on the drums was very much a rockstar . It concluded with a bamboo dance that we could try as well . Luckily came back with all our feet intact .
Pool time for the afternoon before heading to the food night market . It was huge and so yum .
Night ended with Christmas Carols and Candy Cane cream . It’s feeling a lot like Christmas.
‘Very very handsome’ hahaha :)
