Walk around Georgetown was the plan for the day . We had a map and information about the places all ready to go . Obviously the kids were not on the same page . The Christmas bubble had burst and there was a lot of squabbling between them .
After eating some Michelin recommended samosas and dosas and a bit of a sit down discussion with the kids we started the walk .
There were twelve spots getting to see the highlights of the town . It included the blue and green mansions , the oldest mosques , churches and temples . It took us through the food streets as well as the art streets . The art on the walls makes the roads so much more fun as well as giving us loads of photo opportunities ( eye roll from Aanya ). We joined lines of people cueing at a drink cart ( Ais Tingkap) with no clue about it and loved their special red drink with lychees in it .
The walk ended at Kapitan Tandoori which after over 20000 steps was a much needed dinner . They had a robot serving the drinks which was very entertaining.
We headed back to the temple for the evening puja and ended up with some turmeric stained clothes to keep us blessed .
Going to sleep well tonight .
Love all the wall art and the photos you took - didi
