We arrived kind of early but obviously not early enough as we had a long wait in the line to get the funicular up to the top of the Penang Hill ( it’s actually 10 hills ). Luckily the information about the hill and the new yo-yo made the time pass rather easily .
On the top of the hill , Savik was running around wanting to explore every inch while Aanya wanted to ditch us a family as we walk too much .
We walked through Habitat, meant for forest bathing . Other than the 2 minutes of silence I enforced, there was a lot of excited chatter throughout . So many things to see along the way , they have built it well . There are giant swings , canopy walks , specimen jars of insects and a tree top walk ( had tingling in my feet from being so high up ).
There is also a mosque and a temple next to each other at the top of the hill which was a great way to show unity. We watched The Great Indian Family last night so the kids for the first time have been exposed to religious discord .
Finished the night at the rooftop pool. Saw a the moon rising . It was a gorgeous full moon , would have been a public holiday in Sri Lanka .
How beautiful it looks! The TV series Indian Summers was filmed there and I have been interested in visiting one day.
