Today was a travel day . Uber in Jaipur is quite a different experience. The drivers pick up the rides and then call to renegotiate the price . We also had one that we couldn’t find after it had arrived and refused to chat or pick up the phone so we had to pay a cancellation fee .
The driver we eventually got was such an inspiration. He had been an Uber driver for 10 days , prior to that had been an auto driver in his village . He had been in Jaipur for 10 days , never been to Delhi , not very educated but happy to give it a go . He was great , got us to Delhi and said he would stay there till he got a ride back ! His story and determination was the highlight of our day.
