I was up bright and early for my first yoga class of the year. It is a capital city and very different to everywhere else as the place was coming alive and people going to work at 6am. It was a community class being taken by a new instructor as her first class. All her friends had come for it which I found very cute, it was also a great class so a win win.
As it was still early I went for a run and explored the lower city, seeing all the sights and getting to the river which had a running path along it.
The rest of the day was spent retracing our steps from yesterday and seeing things in a bit more depth. Saw the cannon fire and then went up the tower to see all of the town. The sulfuric smell was very much present as we roamed around the upper levels.
We peaked into the cathedrals under construction, not much to see other than lots of bars. Then on to lunch where the children wanted Greek while we want to try the Sri Lankan place that was number one on trip advisor, so two lunches!
After a siesta Aanya had a haircut, she chose both the hairdresser (by looking at reviews) and hairstyle. It is a big change to her long hair and will take her sometime to get used to, I think she looks fabulous.
We then wandered on a food and film festival so had an enjoyable dinner in the park.
Last night here so went back up the hill to see the gas lit lanterns and say goodbye to it all.
